Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how NotFineAtAll ("NotFineAtAll", "we", "us") handles your personal information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1.What we collect

  • Your fine. The photo or PDF of your infringement notice that you upload, and the details our AI reads from it (fine amount, offence type, state, date, infringement number, issuing authority).
  • Camera evidence. If you choose to upload the camera-evidence photo, the image and our analysis of it.
  • Email address. Used solely to deliver your letter and payment receipt.
  • Payment information. Processed directly by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment but never store your full card number.

2.How we use your information

We use your information solely to provide the service — to read your fine, analyse your evidence, assess your case strength, and generate your appeal letter. To do this we send the relevant content to our AI provider (Anthropic) purely to produce your result. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

3.Storage and retention

  • Uploaded photos and documents are stored securely and are automatically deleted after 90 days.
  • Appeal records (without the source images) may be retained longer where needed for our records, refunds, or to meet legal obligations.
  • We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

4.Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. We use a small number of trusted service providers strictly to operate the service:

  • Anthropic — AI processing to generate your assessment and letter;
  • Supabase — secure file storage and database;
  • Stripe — payment processing.

These providers may process data outside Australia. We only disclose what is necessary, and otherwise only where required by law.

5.Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request — including deleting your uploaded fine before the 90-day window — email contact@notfineatall.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time.

6.Cookies and analytics

We keep tracking to a minimum. Any cookies or local storage we use are for essential functionality — such as remembering your in-progress appeal between steps — not for cross-site advertising.

7.Children

The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

8.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.

9.Contact and complaints

For any privacy question, data request, or complaint, contact us at contact@notfineatall.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
