Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of NotFineAtAll ("NotFineAtAll", "we", "us"). By using our website or purchasing a letter, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1.What NotFineAtAll is

NotFineAtAll is a self-help document-preparation tool. We use AI to read your infringement notice, analyse any camera-evidence photo you provide, assess the strength of a possible appeal, and generate a draft appeal or leniency letter that you review, complete, sign and send yourself.

We are not a law firm, we are not your legal representative, and nothing we provide is legal advice. Using NotFineAtAll does not create a solicitor–client relationship. For advice about your specific situation, consult a qualified lawyer or your state legal aid service.

2.Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the service. The service is intended for fines issued in Australia.

3.Payment terms

  • Generating an appeal letter costs a one-time flat fee of A$49 per letter, including GST.
  • Checking your fine and viewing your free case-strength rating costs nothing — payment is only required to generate the final letter.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe's terms.
  • The fee covers the generation of one letter for one infringement notice.

4.Money-back guarantee

We offer a money-back guarantee in the following limited circumstances:

  • Your case must have been rated STRONG by our assessment at the time you purchased the letter;
  • you must have sent the generated letter, substantially unaltered, to the correct issuing authority by the due date;
  • the authority must have rejected your appeal outright (a reduction or alternative penalty is not a rejection); and
  • you must request the refund within 30 days of the authority's decision, with reasonable evidence of the outcome.

The guarantee does not apply to cases rated MODERATE or LIMITED, to leniency requests, or where the letter was not sent. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. To claim, email contact@notfineatall.com.au.

5.No guarantee of outcome

The decision to withdraw, reduce or uphold a fine rests solely with the relevant issuing authority or court. We do not control and cannot guarantee any particular outcome. Our case-strength rating is an informational estimate, not a prediction or promise. Statistics quoted on our site (such as appeal success rates) are general and do not guarantee your result.

6.Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for reviewing the letter before sending it.
  • You — not NotFineAtAll — are the author and sender of every letter. You are responsible for sending it to the correct authority before any deadline.
  • You must not use the service to submit false information or for any unlawful purpose.

7.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NotFineAtAll and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any unpaid fine, late fee, demerit point, licence consequence, or court cost arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant letter (A$49).

8.Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that services will be provided with due care and skill. The limitations above apply only to the extent permitted by that law.

9.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
